I am web/graphic designer and I have built an online portfolio http://richardreevefolio.com in the hope of getting some freelance work. From your experience whats the best way to get people to view my portfolio? Really I want people who may be interested in hiring a designer.

What is the most trustful reference for web traffic monitoring? Alexa?

I’ve seen a lot of offers for low cost web traffics which claim they send you unique visitors such as "50000 unique visitors for ." Are any of these claims genuine? I know they use crawlers and these are not real visitors, but do they actually come from unique IP’s? And if they do, then how do they do it?

Some how my web traffic seems to be very slow today according to my google analytics. Did you guys experienced the same thing? Another question is do i need to convert urchin.js to ga.js? I’m not too sure what the problem is.. Please help.

There are so many sites on the net selling web traffic … who are the main companies that i can do business with … that i could sell web traffic and become a traffic reseller back by a main player in the field of web traffic.

What programs or software can I use to get web traffic in besides Google Analysis ?

I’ve heard that a hardware router acts as a firewall, but I’m not sure how if it seemingly is letting all web traffic in and out. Would appreciate an answer from someone with networking know-how. Thanks.
Just to clarify, I meant protection from viral threats/trojan horses/malware, not from people hacking into the wireless signal.
